How We Began
Our Story
Hearts Behind Heroes Foundation, Inc. was born out of a simple but powerful recognition: the spouses, families, and loved ones of first responders carry an enormous weight — often in silence, often without support, and almost always without acknowledgment.
First responders run toward danger so the rest of us can feel safe. But behind every officer, firefighter, paramedic, and dispatcher is a family that waits, worries, and sacrifices alongside them. These are the hearts behind the heroes — and they deserve a community of their own.
Founded in Polk County, FL, Hearts Behind Heroes Foundation exists to fill that gap. We provide emotional support, practical resources, and community connection to the families who so often pour from empty cups while serving everyone around them. This began as a vision. It became a responsibility.

I do not have all the answers yet — but I do have conviction, faith in this mission, and a deep belief that our community will stand behind the families who spend their lives standing behind others.
